Tree challenge completed

Do tree limbs count as trees?  This is not my original tree page, but does it work?  Having my inspiration up close and personal definitely helps!  This one stays at Mistie's house.

I found a wonderful new site for SVG files.....

It's called Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  Her website is new but she has been selling on etsy and ebay.  I had a question on one of her files and she got right back to me and we able to help me very quickly.

Please take a look at her designs using the link on the sidebar of my blog.

Have a great day

Daria's Birthday Cake

The cake is called Strawberries and Cream.  She wanted a strawberry cake for her birthday and this is what we came up with.  There are 5 layers inside this thing, whipped cream and sliced strawberries between each layer.  Whipped cream on the top and cream cheese icing on the side with the piping using the cream cheese (yup, I did that piping!!) And just in case they didn't like strawberries, I also made chocolate cupcakes.  Both were a HUGE hit with the kids mixed with the homemade vanilla ice cream.

My "Let's Scrap" take on a sketch

I found a great website with lots of inspiration and have applied to be on the design team.  Here is my submission.  Check out their great website and join, the link is in my sidebar!!

My take on a border that I found on the internet

I found this great border out on the internet one night surfing for inspiration.  It was just so cute so I decided to make my own.  The planes and sunshine are designed in SCAL2 (files are available if you want them, just email me), the bears are a pattern from Treasure Box Designs, the CUTE is done in SCAL and the word plane are white leather looking thickers.  Throw in some Prima flowers and voila...it's a border.

I noticed one of my rays of sunshine was missing but I did find it as soon as I came back to my desk and put it back on.  Pardon my background, I went looking for natural lighting and the only place I could find was outside on my porch.  The rug out there is ready for replacing!!

My Newest Layouts

Good Morning All....I've been absent from my blog but I have been busy.  I've been posting over on LGCUSCRAPPERS instead of over here.  Here are some of my newest layouts!

Thanks for looking!
Wendy

This one is for Challenge #10 Black and White layout for LGCUSCRAPPERS
This is Challenge #9 on LGCUSCRAPPERS - Diana has so many gorgeous pics of her kids.....these next two layouts were just for her.

This Mickey Layout is for part of Challenge #9 on LGCUSCRAPPERS.  Diana was behind on scrapping her Disney trip so the challenge was to help her out.

I got distracted from a challenge and just wanted to play with pretty paper and butterflies with this one.  I just loved the pictures.
I'm so sick of winter and really ready for summer to arrive.  My niece and I were talking about pictures and she asked if I remembered this day and the pictures we took.  I came upstairs and started printing and came up with this.  The sun is an SVG file if anyone is interested.  Just shot me an email and I will attach it and send it back.

My Valentine's Day Dinner

Miss Daria was entertaining again.......She cooked Pinwheel Loaf Wellington (stuffed meatloaf), baked corn, candied sweet potatoes, mac & cheese (her mommy's homemade), mashed potatoes, rolls, gravy and green bean casserole.

Our table is set with red placemats and the valentine napkins are rolled around the silverware and tied with red ribbons.  The centerpiece is the roses that she got her Pap for Valentine's Day.

My latest layout

This layout is quite heavy since the paper is just piled on it. Each piece of paper is matted and the photo mats are triple matted. I used the brads that I bought in CT while at Tuesday Mornings. The leaves and spikey thing is from M's in the flower section. Most of the paper is from Scrap Pad To Go purchased at Ollie's. It's by K&Company. The big polka dot paper I have no clue where I got it from. I found it in my blue file when I was searching for paper. The solid rust color is by American Crafts and was also purchased at Tuesday Mornings in CT. The bows are done with raffia adn there are bazzill buttons under them.

I made a flower!!

The stickles are still drying...but how does it look? I've been wanting to make my own flowers because I can never find exactly what I am looking for when I'm doing a layout.
